Googly is a 2013 Kannada Romantic Comedy film directed by Pawan Wadeyar and produced by Jayanna combines. Yash and Kriti Kharbanda are the lead actors while Ananth Nag, Sadhu Kokila, among others play the supporting roles. Joshua Sridhar is the score and soundtrack composer.[2] Background music is scored by ace Kannada music composer and state awardee Anoop Seelin. The film released on 19'th July 2013 and opened to a fantastic response at the box office. The film has been declared as a 'Super Hit'.[3]

Production
Filming
The filming of Googly took place at Bangalore, Sakleshpur, Moodabidare and Mangalore for forty days. One of the songs was shot in the United states of America. The Cinematography has been done by Vaidhi, while Joshua Sridhar is the score and soundtrack composer. The Editing was done by Sanath Suresh, while Palaniraj and Ravi Verma choreographed the action scenes. Dance choreography was done by Murali. The Lyrics department consists of Yogaraj Bhat, Jayanth Kaikini, Pawan Wadeyar and Kaviraj.
Versatile actor Ananth Nag, Sudha Belawadi, Sadhu Kokila, Ninasam Ashwath and others are in the supporting cast.
Box Office
Released on 19'th July 2013, Googly took a spectacular opening at the box office all over Karnataka. The film's huge opening proved that Yash has a huge fan base among the youngsters and is emerging as the next big star of Sandalwood. According to box office reports, Googly got a great start by earning more than a crore on the first day and ₹4.5 crore within the first four days of its release.[4] Especially in Bangalore, Mysore and Mandya, the film received very good response. According to the producer, the film has collected a whooping ₹7 crore gross at the box office in its first week.[5] The film has been declared as a 'Super Hit', with its satellite rights having been sold for ₹2 crore, which takes up the total first week business to ₹9 crore.[6]
