Primary schools in Sandwell
There are many minor primary schools in the Tipton, Blackheath, Warley, Great Bridge and Wednesbury districts of the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell in England. While their individual histories and roles in society are only minor they have as a whole, like all the more noted local primary schools, contributed greatly to the general enlightenment of the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell.

Blackheath
Blackheath Primary School
Blackheath Primary School is located in Blackheath, West Midlands, United Kingdom.[3]
The school was originally built by Rowley Regis urban district council on Powke Lane during the late 19th century, incoporating a 5-7 infant school and 7-11 junior school and later including a nursery unit for 3 and 4 year olds. The schools merged in September 1990 to form Blackheath Primary School.[4]
It relocated to a site on Britannia Road, previously occupied by Britannia High School, in September 2005.

Tipton
Summerhill Primary School
Summerhill Primary School is in Tipton, West Midlands, England.[5][6] It was formed in September 2004 on the merger of two separate schools - Princes End and Locarno, the sites of which are located at opposite ends of the Tibbington estate and were both originally part of the new school.
The Princes End site was built in 1914 by Tipton Urban District council, and until the 1980s operated as a separate infant and junior schools. There was a small infant school in Bloomfield Road which operated as an annexe to the infant school at Princes End, but it was closed and demolished in the early 1970s. Princes End was originally a three-form entry school until 1971, when nearby Wednesbury Oak Primary School opened and a large number of Princes End pupils transferred to this school.
The Locarno site was built in 1936 at around the same time as the nearby Tibbington estate, to serve what was then the largest housing estate in Tipton. Falling numbers on the rolls at both schools, which were located within a few streets of each other, led to Sandwell MBC's decision to merge Princes End and Locarno into one school in 2004.
The Princes End site remained in use for one year, providing education for special needs pupils, before the school began to operate solely from Locarno Road. Demolition work began in the autumn of 2007, and houses are set to be built on the site.
The new school building on Upper Church Lane (a site formerly occupied by Fitzwarren Special School) was opened in September 2008, and officially opened on 4 November 2008 by Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. His visit included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a tour undertaken by pupils as well as listening to the children's Summerhill Rap.[7]
The old school building on Central Avenue is now dormant and awaiting sale for probable demolition. However, it is believed that the local secondary school (Alexandra High) will take possession to house Year 7 while improvement works of the existing Alexandra Road site take place.

St Paul's Church of England Primary School
St Paul's Church of England Primary School is a Church of England 3-11 primary school situated in Tipton, West Midlands (formerly Staffordshire), England.[8]
It was formed in 1874 at a site in Wood Street, Tipton Green, in a building which was enlarged 25 years later. A nursery unit for 4 year olds was added in the 1960s, extending its age range to include 3 years during the 1980s. It remained at this site until 1992, when it relocated to a new building in nearby Robert Road. The old building was demolished in 1995 and a new community centre opened in its place a year later.[9]
It takes its name from the parish church of St Paul, which opened in Owen Street in 1839.[9]

Tipton Green Junior School is located in Tipton, West Midlands, England.[10]
The school opened in 1880 on Sedgley Road West, and remained at this location for 96 years until a new building opened on Park Lane West.[11]
Mr Lawrence Rouse is the school's current head teacher and there are around 270 pupils on the roll, aged from 7 to 11. Younger pupils attend the nearby Victoria Infant School, which opened in September 1995 to replace Manor Road Infant School.
Its most recent Ofsted inspection was in March 2007, when it was rated as a "satisfactory" school which was "rapidly improving".
Despite being just over 30 years old, rebuilding work began in spring 2010 and is expected to be completed in 2012. [12]
West Bromwich
Hargate Primary School
Hargate Primary School is sited in Tantany, West Bromwich, England, opposite West Bromwich Baptist Church.[13] Its school jumper colour is dark blue with the logo of red and white. The logo is two children holding hands and the with the words saying "Forward Together Hargate". The school is a mixed school for boys and girls and also takes in children with disabilities such as those with hearing difficulties. The school tries to meet every child's need as the school gives those who are hard of hearing someone to help them understand the teacher. The school has 8 classes including a nursery. The nursery has a morning nursery and an afternoon nursery. When the children break up for both Christmas and 6 weeks holidays the children get a school disco. The current year 6 presents a school leaver show and all the children in year 6 get a little gift which varies every year though recently it has been teddy bears with the school logo on.

Sandwell Academy is an all-through school and sixth form with academy status located in West Bromwich, England. The school opened in 2006, and is the only state-funded school in Sandwell to offer both primary and secondary education.
