Request reason:

Requesting an IP address block exemption, because (I have not used wikipedia in an unfair way - I am working from a coffee shop where the network must be blocked, but I would like to contribute to wikipedia from here.). TheMazeMovie (talk) 14:24, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You seem to be editing just fine, so your IP no longer appears to be blocked. Reaper Eternal (talk) 02:07, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I do not see a block notice on this account; please post below here the exact wording of the notice you see when you try to edit. You will not be able to be granted an IP block exemption, as this is only granted to an account with a good history of contribution, and you have on this account only five edits. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:17, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

unblock request

Why did you create a page with an unblock request? I will confer with the two previous admins, Reaper Eternal and Anthony Bradbury. IMO, your username represents the subject of your article. This would suggest that you are using Wikipedia for promotion/publicity. I'm inclined to block your account on that basis. Dlohcierekim 21:54, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, TheMazeMovie. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Ginsuloft (talk) 23:39, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Resolving Conflict of Interest

Ginsuloft,

Hello, thank you for keeping me fully informed of Wikipedia policy. I would like to assure you that my purposes are in no way promotional. In creating the article "William Kurelek's The Maze" I merely compiled information from various sources already online, all of which are properly cited. The compilation was done in a neutral manner and any element of the article that appears biased is quoted and referenced. As such, I would like to remove the conflict of interest template which was placed there by another user. Please confirm that I should do so.

Thank you TheMazeMovie (talk) 00:00, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
