The silver dory (Cyttus australis) is a dory, in the genus Cyttus, found around southern Australia, on the continental shelf at depths of between 10 and 350 metres. Its length is about 40 centimetres.
The silver dory is of typical dory shape and very similar to the New Zealand dory but having much higher spines on the first dorsal fin.
The body is a uniform silvery colour, with a golden-pink sheen around the periphery including the fins.
