Postal 2 (film)

Postal 2 (2014) is an upcoming action/comedy film directed, produced and written by filmmaker Uwe Boll, and starring Jackie Tohn and Larry Thomas. Like many of Boll's films, this will be an adaptation of the controversial video game Postal 2, following Boll's previous film.

Announcement & Future

Announced on the 28th of August 2013, this film is the first of Boll's numerous video game adaptations funded through crowd funding. Boll and his production company Event Film have turned to crowd funding website Kickstarter in order to fund the upcoming film. He has stated that the film is in pre-production at this point, and has pledged $500,000 in order to start shooting, requiring this amount in sixty days. He states that this amount is needed so that filming can begin.

According to Boll, if he gets this amount he will definitely make the film. Currently, Boll is writing the script, which he expects to be complete by Autumn 2013. By Winter 2013, he hopes to acquire more actors, and in Spring 2014 shooting will begin. The film is expected to be complete and released by August 14, 2014.

As of September 7th 2013, ten days after announcement and fifty days from the end, $35,052 has been supplied by 305 backers. However, Boll needs to secure an average of $83,333 every ten days in order to achieve his goal. Having had only secured half that amount in that time, it is unlikely Postal 2 will release.
