Surinder Singh born in a poor farmer's family in Haryana. A NSG Commando posted in Kargil during war of 1999, was also part of the United Nations Peace Mission to Congo. He was also one of the 26/11 heroes, having gunned down two terrorists during the terrorist attack on The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel Mumbai in 2008.[1] He has been selected by the Aam Aadmi Party as their candidate for Delhi Cannt constituency in the Delhi state assembly elections, 2013.[2][3][4][5][6]
