This passage from Book of Revelation in The Bible reads, "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.". It is referenced in many films, mostly westerns, involving an expositionary scene featuring a lone gunman riding on a pale horse, foreshadowing of the future killing he is about to cause.
