Indian American Cultural Center opened on March 9, 2002, Merrillville, Northwest Indiana. Bharatiya Temple of Northwest Indiana, opened June 18, 2010, which is next to the Cultural Center. At this temple there are several different sectarian groups that come to worship together; this would never happen in the native way of Hinduism. [1]
