Leap Frog Films is an Australian film distributor. The company was founded by David Doepell and Barbara Connell.

History

Leap Frog Films was founded in March 2013, and has a focus on releasing films targeted at people aged 55-plus, as well as family-friendly films. [1]

The company was founded after Doepell acquired the Spanish animated film Wrinkles at Cannes Film Festival in 2012. [2] Following this he acquired The Sea and the Nigerian-British film Half of a Yellow Sun at Toronto International Film Festival. Based on the 2006 novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Half of a Yellow Sun will release in Australia in March 2014. [3]
