Centrally located within the Sochi Olympic Park sports venues, the Sochi Medals Plaza will be located near the Fisht Olympic Stadium, the Black Sea coast and the Cauldron. It will be surrounded by a large water basin.

Every night, the medals of the 2014 Winter Olympics will be awarded there. The stage will remain as a legacy footsteps on the stage on which the names of all the medal winners will be permanently recorded. This temporary venue will accommodate 20,000 standing spectators.
