Domino Kirke (born in London) is an English-American singer.[1] She is of English and Iraqui descent and of Sephardic Jewish heritage.

Domino was taught music by her Father Simon Kirke, drummer of Free and Bad Company. From the age of 9 years, she sang in choirs, operas and plays before moving to New York City, where she attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School to study classical voice and piano.

After being spotted at a Joe's Pub performance at age 17 by producer Andre Levins(Natalie Merchant, Chaka Khan, David Byrne), she was quickly signed to his label, Fun Machine.[2]

Shortly thereafter, Domino joined forces with old friend, Jordan Galland, and formed DOMINO. The band recorded its EP with Mark Ronson and toured for three years with the likes of Gang of Four and Lily Allen. The band was also featured in Lena Dunham's Indie hit, Tiny Furniture. Her song "Hide and Seek" can be downloaded for Free on that movies' website: www.tinyfurniture.com

Free meaning costing no money to download and not to be confused with her dad's band Free (band)

After taking some time away to raise her son, Domino has returned with a body of work which has been described as, “urgent lullabies, the alchemy of turning desire into gold and sweaty transcendence”. "The Guard" was produced by Domino, Timo Ellis (Cibo Matto and The Netherlands) Jorge Elbrecht (Lansing-Dreiden and Violin) and was recorded in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.[3]

A music video for their song "Green Umbrella", directed by Galland, won Best Musical Form at the 2006 Da Vinci Film and Video Festival[4]
