Llangernyw is a rural, mostly Welsh-speaking, village in North Wales. (grid reference SH875674) It lies on the A548 between Llanrwst and Llanfair Talhaiarn at the point where the Afon Cledwen, a tributary of the River Elwy, crosses the main road.

Llangernyw is famous as the site of an ancient yew tree. The tree is reputed to be the oldest tree in Britain with an estimated age between 2000 and 3000 years, and can be found in the churchyard of St Digain's church.
