The Warriors (video game) is a open world beat 'em up action adventure video game, published by Rockstar Games. It was released on October 17, 2005 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and February 12, 2007 for PlayStation Portable, and later on May 28, 2013 for PlayStation 3. The game was developed by Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar Toronto. As with the game instalments, The Warriors features several major supporting and minor characters.
The series centers on a Coney Island gang the Warriros, and features it's members―Cleon, the Warriors leader, known as "warlord" who is resolving to boost the Warriors a solid reputation for the gangs in New York City to acknowledge them; Swan―the gang's second-in-command―a quiet yet―intelligent figure of the Warriors; Ajax, a loud, cocky rebellious heavy-muscle of the Warriors, who's reckless actions brings him to a point where his actions have consequences; Snow, a disciplined respected member of the Warriors who becomes second-in-command after the meeting; Vermin, a loyal and cheerful member of the Warriors and a friend of Cleon; Cowboy, a passionate and ally of Swan; Fox a scout who is filled with intelligence of the streets despite his physical appearance; Cochise, a Harlem native; and Rembrandt, a Warrior graffiti artist―who is willing to rise to the ranks of bringing the Warriors "all-city". Throughout the course of the game, the first part shows the Warriors working together to make a reputation and the second part shows a mixture of separation.
The game is actually based on the the film with the same name. However, the beginning opens the scene where the game takes place―ninety days―prior to the events of the game. The first part of the story focuses on the Warriors earning a reputation, while the second part of the story of the Warriors is to fight through their way back to their home turf against the wrath of the gangs in New York City. While their were other voice actors, six actors returned to their prominent role. The actors were praised in their excellent performances (despite sounding quite a bit older than the 20-something characters they play), and the remaining voice cast delivers, too.
