The Bangalore-Chennai Expressway is a proposed expressway between the cities of Bangalore, (Karnataka) and Chennai,Many industrial hubs have planned to start up their next projects near banavaram which already has a TVS brake manufacturing unit and also Mahindra, Bajaj and Nissan groups have planned to start up their new plants in the near future. Secretly realtors have already started investing in places near walajapet(banavaram, Keezhveeranam) as these places have been declared to be the next industrial hub like as sriperambadur, also japan is keen on this road as transportation costs to harbour is very less. Many Japan real estate companies like Nippon Expressway Limited have conducted detailed study on areas like Panniyur, Keezhveeranam village and have announced the investors to focus more on these areas as connectivity to harbour and railway station is convinient for goods transportation. [1] (Tamil Nadu).[2] This expressway will be 240 km long and will be designed for travelling on high speed of 120 km an hour. It will cost around 38.4 billion (US$460 million).[3][4] It will be 6 laned from Hoskote to Sriperumbudur.[5]

Extension

Indian National Expressway Network proposed by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has envisioned Bangalore-Mangalore Greenfield Expressway.[6] Mangalore-Chennai Expressway, through Bangalore has been proposed to connect the two ports through expressway to allow industries along the hinterland to move cargo to either of the ports, so that goods can be exported to Europe, West-Asia and Africa through western seaport of Mangalore and eastern seaport chennai can be used for export to East-asia, Japan, Australia and other eastern countries and also large warehouses has been planned to built in ponnapanthangal village for storage as this place lies on the proposed chennai bangalore expressway. [7] This will be built on a new alignment with access-control.
