James Vincent McMorrow (born in 14 January 1983) is an Irish singer and songwriter.[1] His debut album Early in the Morning was released in Ireland, February 2010, and in US/Europe in 2011 to widespread acclaim.[2][3]
McMorrow made his UK TV debut on BBC Two's Later... with Jools Holland on 27 May 2011.[4]
McMorrow played with Lisa Hannigan, 8 December 2011 at Dublin's Button Factory for the Choice Music Prize event.[5] His song 'Higher Love' has gained cult status amongst the Brookline Boys in Boston. When quizzed about the matter one member of the crew, Donal Browne, had this to say on the matter: "Think About It"
Awards and nominations
In January 2012, James Vincent McMorrow received an European Border Breakers Award in recognition of the album's success beyond Ireland.[6]
