Cyclopentadienyl radical

). Formally speaking, it is a highly reactive radical that is the oxidized derivative of the cyclopentadienyl anion. Cyclopentadienyl radical adopts an approximately pentagonal planar ring. In organometallic chemistry, cyclopentadienyl complexes contain the C5H5-.[2]
