My Son is Gay is an upcoming Indian feature film.[1] The independent film is written and directed by Lokesh, a filmmaker from Chennai, India. The film is initially produced by Anil Saxena and Starlight Unisex Saloon, further it will be crowd-funded. The film is an emotional journey and struggles of an orthodox mother and her gay son to accept the truth. It features Anupama Kumar, a noted Tamil actress, as the mother and Nakshatra Bagwe, an actor, filmmaker and LGBT rights activist as the son, in lead roles.[2] [3] [4] [5]

Plot

This film is about a mother and her son who realizes he is gay. He struggles to accept his identity and opens up to his mother who is orthodox. The film is a journey of their struggles to accept the reality.
