pierra akwero (born 18th/12/1987)is a recording artist/song writer/model.pierra started her career as a model in 2005.she appeared in various magazines like the African woman magazine.she walked on many fashion runways for renown fashion designers and later picked in 2007 when she participated in the miss Uganda national pageant. pierra then started to participate in international beauty pageants from 2009-2011.pierra first made her international stage appearance as a beauty queen in miss friendship internal 2009,miss international 2009, miss tourism queen of the year international 2010,miss bikini international 2011.

pierra started writing various songs in 2011 in preparation for her singing career as a solo artist.she has then recorded several of her songs with her first single "emptyness" released in 2012 which premiered in the national television of the country(UBC) which later received a lot of airplay in the various television stations in the country.her second single "Anyaka" which was released in may 2013 is her latest single which is already getting a lot of airplay in various radio stations in various parts of the country and is soon to premier on television.

pierra made her first performance as a singer in 2013 when she performed in the house of zirian fashion show,she was later booked to go on tour with the miss Uganda team in April 2013-june 2013 as they did their regional tours.this saw pierra rise as a professional solo artist and great performer. earlier life and career pierra akwero was born in Uganda.she is the daughter of former banker Obol p.k Andrew and Mary Tina Obol a professional teacher.pierra was named after an Italian friend of the family who had earlier come to visit.she is the seventh child of nine children,three brothers and five sisters.pierra has abit of ethiopian heritage from her mothers side.pierra who comes from a catholic family was brought up in a christian way that helped groom her with humility in life.even though she was from an average family this did not hinder her ideas and where she was headed in life. pierra attended st.Lawrence citizens high school:kabakas lake campus,creamland campus for her secondary education and later enrolled in Uganda martyrs university Nkozi where she acquired a bachelors degree in ethics and development studies.while in secondary school she participated in various writing competitions,beauty competitions dance and drama and later in university participated in the annual varsity ball competitions.

musical career: pierra started her solo musical career in late 2012.she juggled from studio to studio that later resulted in to the realease of her first single"emptyness".earlier in 2013 under the managment of kezzi entertainment,she went on her first ever musical tour with the miss uganda team.in mid 2013 she realised anew single entitled "anyaka" amixture of both the english language and her mother language "acholi"(pierraakwero)
