Domalapenta is a village of Mahabubnagar district. It is near to Srisailam Dam and the temple of Srisailam.

Domalapenta is a village on the left side of Srisailam Project, situated in Nallamala Hills of Mahabub Nagar district, Telangana, India. It is on the left bank of River Krishna, about 186 km south of Hyderabad. Srisailam is a holy town and mandal, situated in Nallamala Hills of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is on the banks of River Krishna, about 212 km south of Hyderabad. Bhramaramba Mallikarjunaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy (a form of Shiva) and Devi Bhramaramba (a form of Parvathi) is located here and it is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Srisailam Dam, located about 212 km from Hyderabad and 132 km from Nandyal, is a multipurpose dam built across River Krishna and caters to the irrigation and power needs of the state. Domalapenta can be reached by road from Hyderabad. There is frequent bus service from Hyderabad to Srisailam every half an hour and also buses available from Mahabub Nagar,Tandur,NarayanPet,SuryaPet,Wanaparthy,Achampet. Domalapenta is located at 16°6'11"N 78°53'55"E and it has an average elevation of 415 meters (1,362 feet).Domalapenta is also called as BrahmaGiri on the name of Lord Brahma,as he did Tapash on this hill. There is a puraana story that describes that Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma performed Tapash on three hills on the banks of River Krishna. Thus these hills are called as RudraGiri/ShivaGiri(Srisailam), VishnuGiri(Sunnipenta) and Brahma Giri (Domalapenta). In domalapenta one Govt Primary and High School (first standard to x standard) is there. Government Health Center, post office, State Bank of Hyderabad also there. In Domalapenta there is a colony called Eagalapenta, in which APGenco offices and their employees’ quarters are there.
