Requests for registration
Request for permissions archives |
Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.
Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.
Please add your name to the bottom of the appropriate list (user or bot) on this page below using *
. Enter your user name exactly as the software displays it, for example in the 'Basic information' section of your preferences. Do not use underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter. Note that all usernames begin with an uppercase letter or a symbol.
{{AWBUser|your username}}

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please change
to {{noadminbacklog}}
at the top of this page.
{{adminbacklog}}
Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You can check your contributions in each namespace at Tool Labs. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to list themselves.
If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage. If you will make many or fast automated edits using AWB, you may wish to use a separate (or bot) account for the purpose.

- What would you want to do with AWB? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:39, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: Hi! Occasionally I find myself doing small, repetitive edits to fix template or table usage. I never get involved in controversial edits, and thought this tool would save me a bit of effort , otherwise I don’t have an stablished “plan of action”. Thanks! —Fitoschido [shouttrack] @ 17 August, 2014; 23:17

- Not done most edits are automated or removals of others writing. I would like to see about 400 improvements or additions to text to prove how well you can write. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:51, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: Thanks, but removals are counted as contributions and are done with the aim of enhancing the quality of the articles. Same argument may be used for automated editions. Besides, I have added effective and informative sections to hot articles such as Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict. I'm asking you to consider accepting me once again. Mhhossein (talk) 13:31, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- Removals are not necessarily bad at all. But to prove yourself for AWB I want to see a person writing correct English text, or correcting others. About 400 of these edits are good, but if there was a concerted effort of a couple of hundred corrections that would show the required ability. Perhaps you can edit your response above! I will also take a look at Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, for your other article, I saw mainly removals! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 14:01, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: FYI, I added the following to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant:
- I also added the following to 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict:
- Moreover, you may see my articles here. Mhhossein (talk) 18:29, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- Done see how you go. In response to your big response I have now read all your writing! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:22, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

- Not done most edits are automated, reverts or taggings. I would like to see improvements or additions to text to prove how well you can write. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:51, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

- You have under 500 edits to article space. What do you want to do with AWB? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:22, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- I have recently been active in Wikiproject TAFI and Recent Changes Patrol. My hope is for automated general fixes only - my current needs are not complex. Actually I am the king of typographical errors and I break templates like a pro. I need all the help I can get. In time, I'll learn the more advanced features. - Kyle(talk) 02:00, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
