Khurto Hajji Ismail (Kurdish: Xurto Heccî Îsmaîl) is, as of 2007, the current Baba Sheikh or Axtîyarê Mergê Bavê Şêx (religious leader) of the Yazidi Kurdish religion.[1] He lives in Ain Sifni.[2]

Bave Sheh after 6-day visit to Georgia and meeting with the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia the II from the Tbilisi airport went on an official visit to Vatican. On October 27–28 at the Assisi the conference, at which he was invited, was held. The main theme of the conference was the issue of peaceful coexistence of different religions. Baba Sheikh met Pope Benedict XVI[3]
