Death toll

Though sourced, is the claim of 48 casualties really believable? See here. Though acknowledging in the region of 1,400 men died, the numbers added up from the three good articles on the ships sunk amount to only just over 1,100 men. Other sources mentioned suggest closer to 375 men died from the Hogue. Benea (talk) 15:46, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
