Audio file

Hi ! An IP add one of your audio file to illustrate the word "tempest" on our project (fr.wiktionary). We usually indicate the native aera from the locutor to illustrate the different accents and the pronunciation's difference between people. So, if it's doesn't annoy you of course, can you tell me, even vaguely, where you from (USA ? UK ? which state/county ?). Thank you by advance. Stop pretending to speak for "the reader"

I'm glad to hear that because we do not "have the ability to change [our] settings", the slow, useless, piece of crap that is media viewer should be forced on us. For what it's worth, people without accounts can disable Media Viewer, but it wasn't available for months and it has a nasty habit of opting us back in. But really, this demonstrates you have insufficient knowledge of the issue to chime in on this matter. You probably haven't seen the surveys where the WMF couldn't even get a majority of "readers" to say Media Viewer was even USEFUL for viewing images, let alone preferable to the file pages. You probably haven't seen that not a single "reader" who chimed in in any of these discussions supports keeping it. You probably haven't seen the page on mediawiki.org where every "reader" that has written condemns the Media Viewer. So can you stop with the "for the reader" nonsense? --98.207.91.246 (talk) 18:23, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I trust the WMF's ability to figure out which way of displaying images works best for the majority of readers. —Granger (talk · contribs) 18:27, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
