Vocademy is an education based makerspace located in Riverside California. The 15,000 sq.ft. facility[1][2] includes access to the following equipment and training[1]:
- 3D printers
- Full wood shop
- Laser cutters
- Vacuum former
- Plastics
- Traditional machining
- CNC machining
- Welding
- CAD
- Sewing
History
The name Vocademy is derived from the words Vocation and Academy and is intended to reflect the facility's emphasis on vocational skill training[1].
Maker Faires
Vocademy was invited to participate in the first ever Maker Faire held at the White House[1] on June 18, 2014[3]. They also hosted the first Inland Empire Mini Maker Faire[2] at their Riverside, CA facility on October 4, 2014[4].
