Pamela S. Chasek, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Government at Manhattan College. She is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. [1]She is widely published on the topic of international environmental policy.

Academic focus

She focuses her research and her lecturing on international environmental policy, multilateral diplomacy and negotiations and US foreign policy. Her specialization is in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.[2]

Education

Dr. Chasek received her BA degree from Middlebury College and her MA at the University of Miami. She received a second MA from Johns Hopkins University, where she also completed her Ph.D. Her Ph.D. is in international studies from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, The Johns Hopkins Universtity.

Professional memberships

She is a member of the International Studies Association and the American Political Science Association at Manhattan College.[2] She is also the founder and editor of Earth Negotiations Bulletin, a reporting service on United Nations environment and development negotiations.[1] [3]
