Munmun Dutta (born 28 September 1987[1]) is an Indian film, television actress and model. She is better known for her role of Babita in India's longest running sitcom TV comedy serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.[2]
Early life
Dutta was born and grew up in a Bengali Hindu family in Durgapur, West Bengal.[3] Her family members are singers. She took formal training in classical music. After completing her higher secondary school she took admission in a college in Pune.[4]
Career
While living in Pune (Maharashtra) Dutta participated in fashion shows. During her fashion shows she came to Mumbai and got acting debut role in Zee TV's 2004 TV serial Hum Sab Baraati. Dutta has done modelling in many TV commercials. She got her first film role in Kamal Haasan's film Mumbai Express. Later on in 2006 she acted in film Holiday.[5] Since 2008 she is doing role of Babita in India's longest running comedy TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.[4][6][7]
