Fetty Wap born October 22, 1994 at Orange Grove Hospital in Compton, CA is an American rapper and singer.. He was raised in Compton and embraced the inner-city lifestyle joining the notorious street gang of the West Coast, The Crips. William Irving Maxwell III was initiated into the gang when he was 9 years old. Fetty Wap is known to be associated with Chicago based rapper Chief Keef. The feud between Sosa and Fetty began shortly after a dispute the two had while working together on a few unreleased features for each others upcoming mixtapes. Maxwell III lost his left eye during a gang related shooting and stabbing outside of an Chicago gentlemen's club that weekend. Fetty Wap's two official mixtapes are titled "Up Next" and "WAP WORLD."Fetty Wap defined his rap style as his own founded genre, Ignorant R&B. He is best known for his 2015 single "Trap Queen", which has peaked at number 16 on the United States Billboard Hot 100.[1][2] He signed to 300 Entertainment in November 2014 and is set to release a self-titled mixtape in 2015.[3]
