I

I have to comment at this point. The slow-as-molasses edit war over "between" and "betwixt" on this page is quite absurd and (to me) pretty darn amusing. Just when I've begun to forget about it, we get another round. - BanyanTree 16:04, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Purality

There is an inconsistency with reference to the plural for fistula. At one point it is fistulas, whereas further down the article it is fistulae. What is the plural and can the article be standardised to reflect this? - SJetha 9:32, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Fistulated Cow

Would this be the right page to create a section about the http://www.daviswiki.org/Fistulated_Cow ? I don't really wish to myself, but perhaps someone else might like to. :) —Quiddity 08:48, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Location of fistulas

"It is a very serious and painful disorder that affects people of third world or poorer countries." surely fistulas dont occur exclusively in poor countries? Could someone who is certain maybe change to 'affects mostly people of third world...' or 'affects many people of third world...'. Thx MrFire 15:27, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. 72.186.143.34 02:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definition

I've edited the definition to include the most critical element, which is the epithelial lining. Beoplayer 12:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Third world countries

I've removed this sentence, as it really has nothing to do with fistulas. If this sort of comment *must* be included, then it should be in a section detailing the origins of fistulas; what conditions cause them, what exacerbates them, etc. In its old location, it was unverified and irrelevant to the section.

The part about them being painful and serious is a little unnecessary, but is alright. I've moved it to the top where the general description of fistula is. Glacialfury 22:08, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

location of fistulas

aorto-enteric fistula

Apparently a very rare complication of ingestion of a foreign body. How is it classified? What are the symptoms, and how is it diagnosed and treated? 72.83.209.25 (talk) 00:27, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to edit

It is proposed that Fistula be part of the trial of a new template; see the green strip at the top of Pain where it has been in place for a couple of months. The purpose of this project is to encourage readers to edit, while equipping them with the basic tools. If you perceive a problem with this, or have any suggestions for improvement, please discuss at the project talk page --Anthonyhcole (talk) 09:56, 10 January 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Pseudoscience

I removed following point - 'A safer parasurgical technique is very popular for the treatment of all kind of Anal Fistulae known as "Kshar Sutra Therapy". It is being used successfully in India from hundreds of years. Although the duration of treatment is longer but there are very less chances of recurrence or complications' on account of the fact it is grammatically incorrect hokum.
