Out Hud was an electronic dance rock band formed in 1996 in the Bay Area of California (although all members now reside in New York City). The band consisted of guitarist Nic Offer, bassist Tyler Pope, cellist Molly Schnick, vocalist/drummer Phyllis Forbes and mixer Justin VanDerVolgen. Pope, Offer, and VanDerVolgen are also members of the similar band, !!!. Their latest release, Let Us Never Speak of It Again, saw the group add vocals to their music, with Forbes singing while a drum machine fills in her usual role and Schnick provides backing vocals. On July 12 2006, Molly Schnick ended rumors that the band had broken up by saying "Yes we did break up. We figured everyone already knew. There are clues about it all over the last record. Solo records to follow." [1]
