The Oscar takes its name from the son of Diego Aponte, the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) president and chief executive.[2]

Oscar was build by Daewoo in South Korea for $140m.[2]
The largest
At nearly the length of four football fields laid end to end, the MSC Oscar has a draft of 16 meters; it can carry the equivalent to 39,000 cars or more than 120 million pairs of sneakers.
