On The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Fred Fredburger is a pale green underworld creature who vaguely resembles an elephant, but has horns and a pointed, devil-like tail. He is voiced by C.H. Greenblatt. Template:Spoiler He first appeared in the episode Keeper of the Reaper (first aired January 13, 2006, on Cartoon Network), in which he was a member of an underworld jury which was deciding whether Billy or Mandy would get custody of Grim when Billy moves away. However, he didn't really care about the case. Fred Fredburger seems to exist in his own little world, and he either didn't realize or didn't care that he was driving his fellow jurors and Judge Roy Spleen mad with his senseless questions and meaningless antics. Known for his dialogue in the episode, he often asked the judge when he would get a "Hammer Thingy" (referring to the judge's gavel), and on a few occasions he managed to get his hands on it right under the judges's nose, only to hit the wall many times with it, making a fair-sized hole. He also got hungry during the trial and pestered the jurors and judge for food, asking where the nachos are, and if there were any hot dogs or pizza, after which Billy then encouraged him to ask for tacos. Fred likes to repeat his name over and over again, and seems to enjoy spelling out his name in a song made entirely out of his own name repeatedly. He also likes music. Ultimately, the judge's desire to be rid of Fred Fredburger's exasperating presence led him to rule that Billy's family would never be allowed to move from their current home, thus rendering the case moot and dismissed.

Several months after Keeper of the Reaper first aired, Cartoon Network began using Fred Fredburger in some of its commercial bumpers, which end with his characteristic exclamation of "Yes!"

On July 24, 2006, another episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy featuring Fred Fredburger aired on Cartoon Network, entitled Be A-Fred, Be Very A-Fred. In the episode, Grim becomes the TV commercial spokesman for the new product of the underworld corporation named "Under Corp", which is "Big Move" laxatives. Along with the release of the commercial, Under Corp holds a contest. Contestants are to mail in a 500-word-maximum letter describing how they would spend time with the Grim Reaper for a day, and the chosen winner would actually get to do those things with Grim.

On the day during which the episode takes place, Fred Fredburger shows up at Billy's house. He is the winner of the contest, but because all he wrote on his submission letter was "I want to eet sum frozun yogert", Grim beleives it must be a mistake, so he visits the Under Corp building. Grim asks to see all the letters, but it turns out that every single letter (there were hundreds) was written by Fred Fredburger, each with the same message. Grim is then informed by the corporation that ever since they hired him their sales have been decreasing, and they will fire him unless Fred Fredburger enjoys his time with Grim that day. Grim agrees and returns to Billy's.

Grim and Fred, along with Billy and Mandy, head over to the frozen yogurt parlor (named "You gota be kidding me, right? No it's totally Yogurt!"). Throughout their stay, Fred frustrates Grim by having difficulty choosing a flavor and difficulty cooperating when they're getting their picture taken. Eventually, Grim slams his fist against the table out of anger, causing Fred's frozen yogurt to fall onto the floor and spill. Fred becomes somewhat hysterical and yells at Grim, "You killed my yogurt!" He hides in the parlor's freezer, and is finally convinced to come out and go with them to the amusement park "Sassy Cat Land" when Billy mentions there will be nachos there.

At Sassy Cat Land, the four of them go on a spinning ride, in which cars that seat two people each are attached to arms that branch out from a rotating center. Grim is sitting with Fred, and when the ride reaches dangerously high speeds, Fred becomes excited and lets go of the car's safety bar. He is hurled into the air and disappears. Back at the Under Corp building, the CEO has Grim fired, then beat up as an additional punishment.

Meanwhile, Fred Fredburger, who is still alive, has landed in deep snow, obviously in some place with a polar climate (note that he is not in the underworld, just "far, far, far, FAR away"). He is found by a friendly snow monster that leads him to a cave, where there are several other snow monsters sitting around a fire. Surprisingly, the snow monsters have the same exact voice as Fred (they, like Fred Fredburger, are voiced by C.H. Greenblatt). They invite him in, saying they "have plenty of nachos and frozen yogurt." He gladly enters, and the episode ends. It is not yet known if he will appear in another episode, but it is quite possible.

Although some fans think of Fred Fredburger as annoying, many like the new character for the funny moments he brings to the episodes he is in.

On his blog page, Greenblatt has reported that he has designed the first Fred Fredburger T-shirt which was to premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con.
