2015 Sheffield City Council election

Sheffield City Council elections are scheduled to take place on Thursday 7 May 2015, the same day as the UK general election and local Parish Council elections. There are 28 seats up for election, one of the three councillors from each ward.

Going into the elections, the current council is controlled by Labour with 59 councillors, with the opposition consisting of 18 Liberal Democrat councillors, 4 Green Party councillors and 3 UKIP councillors. The Conservative Party and the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition have no current representation.

Labour have a majority of 17 and are defending 21 seats.
