I'm Not Scared (Italian: Io non ho paura) is a novel by Niccolò Ammaniti.
In 2003, director Gabriele Salvatores adapted the novel into a film of the same name. Ammaniti was nominated for the Best Motion Picture Screenplay at the 2005 Edgar Allan Poe Awards for having adapted the novel to the picture screenplay.[2]
Plot
In 1972, in a small Italian village fictitiously named Acqua Travers, a 9 year-old uncovers that the inhabitants of the village have kidnapped the son of a wealthy family to ask for a ransom.
