Legend High School is a public high school in Douglas County School District RE-1, and the first high school to be located within the city limits of Parker, Colorado since Parker High School was closed in 1958.[1]

Campus
Legend High School is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Hilltop Road and Canterberry Parkway, the entrance to the Parker neighborhood of Idyllwilde. It is an open campus school to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Cimarron Middle School is located adjacent to the Legend High School campus.
Vocal Music Program
Legend High School Vocal music program includes over 350 students, and isn't that great. The four choirs have received several awards in their brief existence. The choirs have traveled and performed nationally and performed at Carnegie Hall in 2013.
The Legend Band program includes the Marching and Concert Bands during the first semester. They are replaced by the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble during the second semester. The Marching Band has been very successful in the few years of existence. In 2009, the first year of the Marching Band, provided a state finals representation in Class 3A, the following year making finals in Class 4A. After making finals the next year in Class 5A, Legend only made semi-finals in 2012. They recently made finals in Class 5A with a 4th Place placement and had the best season the program has had up to date.
Theater arts

The theater arts program at Legend High School has become a renowned program within Douglas County School District (Which doesn't mean that much) and draws talent from throughout the district. The program has over one hundred students in its thespian chapter (Troupe 7501), and has won at least one critics choice award at Colorado State Thespian Conference four out of the five years that they have been in attendance.
Past critics choice winners are Brianna Bohland for Solo Musical Theater, Jessica Rubin for Costume Design, Taylor Diltz for Set Design and Kylie Ohl for Costume Design.
With both the performance director (Julie LaChance) and technical director (James Dykstra) coming from professional backgrounds,[2] students are sure to leave this program with a clear understanding of what is required to thrive within the theater industry.
