With all due respects to actor Ryan Phillipe, (I sure would not want that guy in my face, mad at me, ever)! One of the main reasons the film flopped is that it didn't have any significant africano actors in featured roles! The historical significance of the "disco" era globally in the 70S was spear-headed by African-Americans, who never left "Mademoiselle Regine"'s ingenious innovation in popular music entertainment, revived it in 1971A.D in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New Jersey, Detroit, Chicago, and of course, Los Angeles! Blacks music, sheer presence, and unique "verve" of their culture suffused and energized the venues around the globe; why even whites and Asians wanted to be "black", by "kinking-up" their hair, and affecting what most white racist thought was "black street attitude, and 'jive'". The movie flopped because Hollywood attempted to do what its notorious for; mangling, and lying about history, even recent events!!! --146.111.156.100 (talk) 16:02, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Veryverser[reply]
