Frederik Jozef Belinfante was a Dutch physicist at Purdue University[1]. He was a proponent of the hidden variable interpretation.[2] Books he has written include Measurement and Time Reversal in Objective Quantum Theory (Monographs in Natural Philosophy) and Survey of Hidden Variable Theories (Monographs in Natural Philosophy).[3] Along with Léon Rosenfeld, he derived the Belinfante–Rosenfeld stress–energy tensor.
