Camp Death III: The Final Summer is an upcoming Canadian horror comedy spoof movie of the Friday the 13th Film Series and is scheduled for a May 13, 2016 release.[1]
Storyline
Camp Crystal Meph has reopened but the curse of scurvy ravaged killer Johann Van Damme (Terry Mullet) continues to cause murder & mayhem. Assisted by his chronically ill-tempered Uncle Mel (Darren Andrichuk), Head Counsellor and epic nitwit Todd Boogjumper (Dave Peniuk) has given the camp a new direction as a rehab center for violent & woefully lame-brained adults. Joined by his sweet-natured girlfriend Rachel Diaz (Angela Galanopoulos) and the optimistic, wheelchair bound Barry Brown (Chris Allen), Todd tackles the herculean task of trying to rehabilitate these incurable imbeciles. Yet an unseen evil begins to violently cut down campers & staff alike. Has Johann risen from the grave or is this the heinous work of a copycat? [2]

Production
The film was partially financed by a successful crowdfunding campaign in August, 2014.[3] Director Matt Frame helped to promote the crowdfunding campaign by partaking in a world record 24 hour, 109 km non-stop walk in which he chained a coconut to his waist.[4] The subsequent media coverage resulted in the film raising 100% of its goal.[5]
Filming
The film was shot over a 14-month period on Gabriola Island and lower mainland Vancouver, BC, Canada.[6]
Kill Count
Camp Death III: The Final Summer boasts a ridiculously high number of on-screen deaths. The 80+ murders is primarily the result of an open call for Vancouver actors to take part in an event called 'Night of the Living Deaths' that was held in Vancouver's Gastown in May of 2015. Camp Death III: The Final Summer makeup artist Deb Graf murdered 62 willing victims over the course of 8 hours. In a feature article in the Vancouver Sun Graf was quoted as saying: “We went full bore for almost 8 hours straight. I wasn't sure we could keep up that pace but somehow we did. I'm proud. Messy, but proud.[7]
Title
Despite it's title, Camp Death III: The Final Summer is not a sequel. Director Matt Frame is quoted as saying "It's part of the joke. It's a spoof film. There are no parts 1 and 2, at least not yet." [8] Camp Death III: The Final Summer is unrelated to the short film 'Camp Death (2006)'.[9]
Release
The film is set to be released on Friday the 13th of May, 2016.[10]
