Georgi Filipov Bokov (15 January 1920 – 1 June 1989) was a member of the Bulgarian resistance movement during the Second World War. Later, he became a leading member of the Bulgarian Communist Party and editor-in-chief of Rabotnichesko Delo, the official newspaper and organ of the Bulgarian Communist Party

Biography

According to several sources, Georgi Bokov was one of the murderers of the Bulgarian painter, caricaturist-cartoonist, and writer Rayko Aleksiev.[1][2]

Georgi Bokov[3] - son of Katrandzhii Yakoruda partisan and accomplice in the brutal murder of intellectual Rayko Aleksiev in 1944. This convinced many relatives of victims of the repression of the communist regime. Georgi Bokov is the father of the head of UNESCO Irina Bokova and Ambassador to Slovenia Filip Bokov, whose son was killed that day in an accident, and killing his wife. Georgi Bokov was born in 1920 into a family of illiterate peasants Yakorouda. At the end of 1943, he became political commissar in the partisan unit "Nikola Parapunov." During communist rule, he is a longtime editor of officious "Workers Work" and president of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ).In 1989 he was posthumously expelled from the Union of Bulgarian Journalists for heavy charges.
