PocketFM is a portable, low-powered radio transmitter designed for use by people in areas with tightly controlled or undeveloped communications infrastructure.

PocketFM was developed for use in Syria and enables Syrnet, a radio network launched in September 2013 to provide information that is suppressed or manipulated by state-run media.[1][2]
