Sylvia Ratnasamy is a Belgian-Indian computer scientist. She is most well-known as one of the inventors of the distributed hash table (DHT). Her dissertation on content-addressable networks proposed one of the first DHTs, and was the first dissertation on the topic. She is currently a professor at the University of California, Berkeley.
