Cavia is Japanese video game developer. The company was founded on March 1, 2000 and has its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The company name is an acronym for Computer Amusement Visualizer.

Cavia usually develops games for already existing franchises, like Naruto, Dragonball Z, One Piece or Ghost in the Shell for various publishers. The company also developed its own franchise with Drakengard and Drakengard 2, which where published by Square Enix. AQ Interactive became Cavia's main publisher in 2005.

Cavia, in collaboration with Mistwalker, is currently developing the Xbox 360 action role-playing game Cry On.[1]
