Journey's first live album, Captured, was released in February of 1981 on the Columbia Records label.
Recorded on Journey's "Departure" tour, "Captured" aptly describes the sound of the band as it was in the late 70's and early 80's.
Hits such as "Lights", "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'", "Wheel in the Sky", and "Any Way You Want It" are in evidence, along with other concert favorites like "Dixie Highway" and "Walks Like a Lady".
Closing the album is the lone studio track, "Party's Over (Hopelessly in Love)".
