Halydean Corporation is an investment group that is a land-based agricultural holding company in the dairy and beef industries. The company is headquartered in Hayward, Wisconsin, but primarily consists of holdings in subsidiaries. The company CEO is Ron Braatz.

History & Age of Company

The company only states that it has “more than 100 years of operational history,” which may be referring to the age of a subsidiary, however, there are well documented legal records showing that the entity had its establishment in 1128 with its primary holdings being thousands of acres of grazing land, which makes it one of the very oldest legal entities in existence, actually pre-dating corporations by several hundred years. Based on that information, it could be argued that Halydean will soon be the oldest publicly traded company in the world, but the company has not made any such claim. In 1545 its ownership was appropriated by the crown, rechartered, and eventually assigned to new owners in 1602, and in 2014 Halydean was reorganized as a Delaware corporation.

Today

Halydean Corporation plans to file a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering has not yet been determined. Halydean Corporation is an agricultural land holding company that specializes in dairy and beef production. The company's focus is to consolidate the dairy industry through vertical and horizontal integration, acquiring farms with a mixture of stock and cash.
