Maurice Robinson (born November 5, 1993 in Yuma, Arizona, U.S), popularly known by the stage name Docman is an American recording artist, rapper and songwriter currently based in Houston, U.S.[1] In 2015, he released his debut EP titled The DOCument. He is currently CEO of his independent label, Empier Entertainment.
Early life and education
Maurice Robinson was born in Arizona. He moved to Queen, NY at the age of 2 where he grew up under the influence of drugs and gang violance. In 2007, he moved to Houston, TX. In high school he attended Dobie High School. He is currently enrolled at Texas Southern University [2].
Career
Docman influences in hip hop come from the early 90's. 2pac was very influential in his life[3]. In 2007, Docman started his own entertainment company called Empier Entertainment.
On April 17, 2015, Docman released his debut EP titled The DOCument[4]. On January 17, 2016, he released a mixtape titled Streets Is Still Watching which was featured on Texas-based blog, SayCheeseTV[5]. He is currently preparing the release for his debut album titled I'm Leaving: A Story Narrated by ilunaee.[6]
