The purpose of this article is that it includes a list with developer details, operating system it runs on and license information. This is just the beginning, the list will be updated time-to-time by me and other Wikipedia users. Zafar24Talk 03:02, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've been wondering the same thing. I hope you realize that manually updating such a list is utterly impossible. The number of items may not be quite in the millions though. By my count, wikidata currently lists 24687 articles in english wikipedia, the overwhelming majority (21974) videogames. Yes, I seriously doubt this article could serve its purpose. First, you simply can't list all the softwares, even the notable ones, and its a big question which softwares need to be included or excluded. Lists of software is perfect for this sort of listing and we do not need one here. extra999 (talk) 07:13, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
