Perhaps we should answer the concern described in the song. Assuming there are no spirits of the dead, you can't be aware of the worms etc. because there is no nerve activity after death. 67.160.69.105 (talk) 16:00, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever is crawling in and out (worms in most versions) is not what is playing pinochle. It should be "The bugs play pinochle on your snout." (currently Illinois, but could have learned this elsewhere) agb
