To maintain consistency, please use the following practice for possessive apostrophes in this article:

Jones's if/when referring to the individual (e.g. "David Cameron appealed for anybody with information as to Jones's whereabouts to contact police"
Joneses' if/when referring to the subject's family (e.g. "The Joneses' appeal for information was...")
