Jesse Norris is an American elite powerlifter. He holds multiple world records in the 198lb weight class[1] and is an avid bodybuilder.

Powerlifting Achievements

766 lb(348 kg) Squat at 198 lbs

441 lb(200 kg) Bench Press at 198 lbs

821 lb(373 kg) Deadlift at 198 lbs

2,033 lb(924 kg) Total at 198 lbs(All Time World Record)

One of very few lifters to achieve a ten times bodyweight total

The Start of Powerlifting

Norris has an athletic background prior to powerlifting including both football and track and field. Norris started competing in the sport of powerlifting at the age of 14, with his training beginning in his 8th grade year. Norris was a football player in high school and states that as being the reason why he started getting involved in powerlifting and fitness. Norris states that his brother was a football all star, but on the other handed Jesse had not been chosen to start on the team. This is what made him start training in order to improve on himself as an athlete.

Personal life

Jesse works for bodybuilding.com as a customer service representative. He has been working for bodybuilding.com for five years being hired in September 2011. Jesse has a girlfriend and enjoys many things outside of powerlifting and fitness. Jesse has stated that he enjoys being outside, fishing, hunting, hiking, riding motorcycles, and working on his truck.
