Our main client: the Phil Long family of automotive dealerships. Before I was ever aware of the term astroturfing, that was one of my duties. Originally, I believed that I could walk the tightrope of following orders while avoiding blatant advocacy. The more I learn about the Wikipedia Community, however, the more I see the absolute necessity of disclosure. Do I use Wikipedia outside of the workplace? Of course. Would I be willing to contribute to the site just for fun (when the pace of life slows down a bit)? Absolutely! Just know that my Wikipedia activities so far have been on the clock.
