WHS

Hi, I'm Kenny. While I'm very polite, amicable, and quiet in real life, I tend to be more of a sarcastic dick online. The safety that being behind my monitor affords me allows me to speak my mind more freely without having to worry about things like punches flying at my face. I've never actually been the victim of a punch to the face, but from what I gather through watching movies and TV shows, it doesn't look too pleasant.

I'm currently a senior at the University of California, San Diego, which in my absolutely correct opinion, is the best university in the universe. The "university" in "University of California, San Diego" signifies the best in the universe part, or at least that's what I like to think. Although I study political science, I don't really have any genuine interest in the subject. I'm sure you don't care, but I'm going to tell you the story of how I ultimately decided to major in it anyway. I hate math and I hate science. I looked at the list of majors and their requirements and eliminated everything that required me to take anything beyond basic math and science. After seeing what was left, I decided that political science sounded the best. Thus began my career as a student of the discipline.

Interests

Politics

As far as politics go, I run around calling myself a moderate to anyone who will listen. I do that because I like to think it gives people the impression that, rather than being some partisan hack, I'm actually open to their ideas and crap like that. In reality, I'm not. While I'm moderate on most economic issues, I tend to lean heavily liberal on social issues. I tell myself that my social liberalism makes me a better person and I'm not doing it just because all the celebrities are doing it. I don't know if it's actually true. I'm pretty impressionable.

Sports

I'm a huge sports fan, and an even bigger NBA fan. Despite being born and bred in SoCal, my favorite basketball team is the Dallas Mavericks and my favorite player is Dirk Nowitzki. Oh, I forgot. I'm not an NBA fan anymore. Since the 2006 NBA Finals, I've been boycotting the NBA and will continue boycotting it until the league decides to replace the following referees: Dick Bavetta, Dan Crawford, Joe Crawford, Joe DeRosa, Steve Javie, Eddie Rush, and Bennett Salvatore. Those are the referees who decided to screw over the Mavs by suddenly deciding that if a butterfly flaps its wings in Angola, it's a foul for Dwyane Wade.

While I'm not a fan of baseball, some aspects of the game do interest me. For instance, I've always wondered why hitters who charge the pitcher's mound after being beaned by a pitch immediately drop their bat beforehand. I don't know about you, but if I'm a pitcher, I'm definitely much more intimidated if a guy is charging at me with a bat. Furthermore, if you're the hitter, you know that the pitcher's teammates are right there on the field with him just waiting to jump in the fray. You think they're going to be eager to engage themselves if you're swinging around a bat like a crazy person? I think not.

Music

By my own admission, I've got fairly crappy, mainstream musical tastes. For the most part, I listen to alternative and indie rock. Some of my favorite bands as of the moment include Bloc Party, Kings of Convenience, Rilo Kiley, and Saves the Day. Still, my collection of music is rather eclectic. I've got everything from The Roots, Utada Hikaru, and The Gorillaz to The Arcade Fire, John Coltrane, and Death Cab for Cutie. Feel free to recommend me something if our tastes sound similar.
